Stone Top on a Rope Base
The top is stone — 45% of the table's make-up, and where most of the 33kg sits. Underneath, a steel and eucalyptus frame wrapped in PE rope. The rope is synthetic rather than natural fibre, so it handles rain and sun without going brittle, and the stone doesn't mind either.
Size and Height
110 x 80cm across the top and 47cm high. That's at the taller end for a coffee table, which suits a deep outdoor sofa — you can reach a drink without leaning forward off the cushions. The 80cm depth also means it doesn't strand itself in the middle of a small terrace.
