Chandelier or pendant light — and how much ceiling clearance?
A pendant wants at least 7ft (213cm) of floor clearance anywhere someone walks under it, and 75cm above a dining table specifically. A chandelier's more ornamental scale usually wants 8-9ft (244-274cm) of ceiling height to hang properly. The real difference between the two, and eight of our own lights measured against both rules.
Warm white or cool white — which for which room?
Warm white (2700-3000K) suits living rooms and bedrooms — the same colour temperature as candlelight and a sunset. Cool white (5000K+) suits task-focused spaces like a home office or a workbench. Stained Glass, and the Light It Makes
34cm across and 50cm deep, with a shade of stained glass in orange and white set into copper and metal. Coloured glass does something no clear fitting does: it tints the light itself, so the room takes on the warmth of the shade rather than only the brightness of the bulb. That makes it a fitting for a room you want to feel warm in rather than one you need to see clearly in — a snug, a landing, a dining room in the evening.
Bulbs and Colour Temperature
Three E27 sockets, each up to 40W, and no bulbs supplied. Stained glass absorbs a good deal of what passes through it, so this is a fitting that wants all three rather than two. Keep them warm-toned — a cool bulb behind orange glass turns the colour muddy.
Mounting and Depth
Semi-flush, so it sits close to the ceiling instead of hanging on a chain. It's still 50cm deep, though, so it wants a bit of height above it — better on a landing or over a table than in a low hallway.

Hard-wired with no plug, so connecting it is a job for a qualified electrician.
